Characters

Upon beginning the game, players are given a choice to start with one of six different character types :

• Gladiator: a strong, barbarian-like fighter
• Dar elf: a cunning, trap and poison-using warrior
• Wood Elf: a long range sniper
• Vampiress: a knight-like fighter who can turn into a vampire
• Battle mage: a mage who may also acquire weapon skills
• Seraphim: an angel-like fighter with many blessings and light-oriented spells

The Deamon and Dwarf were additional characters added in the expansion sacred underworld and included in Sacred Gold.
Each character begins in a different part of Ancaricana (the continent that Sacred takes place within), and with a different starting quest. For example, the Gladiator starts in a colloseum, enslaved by his master, while the Seraphim starts in an church . The Dark Elf starts on a cliff with a Wood Elf companion. Throughout the game, the characters all receive different sub quest.
Each character class is also restricted to a certain set of items, and has a different set of skills. To increase these skill levels, characters must find runes which correspond to those skills, a rather novel system in contrast to the more mainstream model of skill points. Some character classes have identical skills, but the runes from one class cannot be used to advance skills in another class. Runes may be traded and used for crafting

Skills

Every character in Sacred has a different set of skills that are available to them. The only way to obtain them is to find a rune of that particular skill and use it to make it available to use for you. Each character has between 11 and 22 different skills that can be unlocked and used. To increase your level in a skill, you must find another rune for that skill and use it.
To use a skill, you have to drag it to one of your available skill slots.
There are also several "combo masters" spread throughout Ancaria, which can combine up to four separate skills into a combo, which you can use in the game. The combo masters can also trade runes you cannot use or don't need for a rune of your choice. You can trade 2 runes for 1 random rune or 3 runes for a random rune of your class. If you give him four runes of any character class and pay him 2000 gold pieces, he will give you a rune of your choice from within your character class.

Items

Sacred features a vast array of items that can be obtained from shops, various containers (chests, barrels, graves...), dead monsters or magical hiding places" in many of the rocks and bushes throughout Ancaria, which are indicated by a yellow sparkle. Many of the items can be only equipped by one type of character, like wings, which can only be equipped by a Seraphim.

There are also several potion types, such as the typical health heal, but there are other types, like Potions of  death, which stops Undead from reviving once you kill them, and "Potions of Concentration", which regenerate your combo attacks so you can use them faster. There are no mana-heal potions in Sacred, because mana is not a feature of the game. Also, monsters occasionally drop a rune that increases a certain skill for a certain character, if used.
If the player owns a horse several different types of saddles can be bought to be used on it. These saddles increase the speed, defense, and damage done by the horse. Only 1 horse may be owned at a time, and the horse can be damaged and killed.

The names of items are in five different colors, which represent different quality classes of equipment:

School Daze

It was the end of the school year, and a kindergarten teacher was receiving gifts from her students.

The florist’s son handed her a gift. She shook it, held it overhead, and said, “I bet I know what it is. Flowers” “That’s right,” the boy said, “But how did you know?” “Oh, just a wild guest,” she said. The next  pupil was the candy shop owner’s daughter. The teacher held her gift overhead, shook it and said, “I bet I can guess what it is. A box of sweets.” “that’s right, but how do you know?” asked the girl. “oh, just a lucky guess,” said the teacher.

The next gift was from the son of liquor store owner. The teacher held the package overhead, but it was leaking. She touched a drop of the leakage with her finger and licked it. “is it wine?” she asked. “No” the boy replied with some excitement. The teacher repeated the process, taking a larger drop of the leakage to her tongue. “Is it champagne?” “No” the boy replied with more excitement. The teacher took one more taste before declaring, “Ok, I give up, what is it”

                With great happiness, the boy replied, “It’s a puppy!”

Licked   = pass the tongue over the finger to taste food or drink

Liquor   =alcoholic drink

Leaking =the liquid that gets out from a place

Okay, student. Listen to me. I have a good story. The story is about a boy named Michael. He was ten years old. He was not a very good pupil. Why? Because he didn’t like doing his homework. What did he like then? Oh, he liked playing in his leisure time. He liked football very much. Do you know why he didn’t like doing homework? Because he always made a lot of mistakes when he did it.

Well, one day, his mathematics teacher looked at Michael’s homework and found that all his homework was correct. Wow, that’s a good job! Of course students, the teacher was very pleased and surprised. So, he called Michael to his office and said to him, “Michael, you’re got all your homework right this time. You’re doing great. Well done, Michael. Did your father help you?”

“No, sir” Michael said, “Usually my father did it for me. But last night he was very busy. He had a meeting. So, he couldn’t do my homework. Then, I had to do it by myself.”

Abikusno soetojo lahir pati 11_05_1995 dia adalah seseorang yang paling berharaga di hati saya dan keluarga saya,dia adalah seorang ayah yang sangat menyayangi keluarganya saat saya lahir 25_05_1998 disitulah perjalanan hidup saya dengan ayah saya bermula,dia sangat sayang kepada saya setiap saat makan dia tidak lupa untuk menghibur saya agar saya mau makan,pada waktu itu ayah saya masih bekerja di jakarta dan saat itu saya berumur 5 tahun ayah saya selalu membawa diri saya ke tempat ayah saya bekerja,saat pulang ayah saya selalu mengajak saya makan di KFC sini nak dimakan dulu"itu kata kata ayah saya dan sedikit demi sedikit saya menghabiskan makanan itu ayah saya menyuapi diri saya dengan penuh kasih sayang dengan seiring bergulirnya waktu pada saat umur saya 6 tahun ayah saya menggendong diri saya ke depan istana bogor,disitu pula saya diajak oleh ayah saya untuk naik kereta tetapi entah mengapa saya duduk di tempat paling depan saya bertanya"pak ko gak ada tempat duduknya sih?bapak saya menjawab"ini loh kita di tempat nya masinis"betapa beratnya seorang ayahanda saya untuk bisa naik di tempat masinis sebelumnya ayah saya dimarahi oleh petugas perkeretaapian"pak bapak gak boleh kesitu"tegas petugas itu tetapi bapak saya menjawab dengan lantangnya"kamu mau tanggung jawab kalo anak saya mati di belakang?liat dong penuhnya kaya gitu"akhirnya diperbolehkanlah kami di tempat masinis,saya dan bapak saya mempunyai kesamaan dalam sifat,hobi,lahir juga di bulan yang sama waktu terus saja bergulir tidak terasa saya sudah kelas 5 sd waktu itu banyak sekali memori indah saya dengan bapak saya,saat itu sedang hujan deras saya pulang dalam kondisi basah kuyup bapa saya dengan cepatmembuatkan saya segelas teh hangat kami sangat dekat pada saat saya lulus dari sekolah dasar saya dipeluk dan dicium oleh bapak saya waktu terus saja bergulir saat saya kelas 3 smp hal yang memang tidak saya inginkan terjadi hari senin tanggal 17 ayah saya masuk rumah sakit pmi bogor alhamdulillah kondisi ayah saya membaik saat hari rabu tetapi saat malamnya kira kira jam 1 ayah saya harus dilarikan keruangan ICU karena mendapat serangan jantung,besoknya ayah saya membaik lagi saya masuk ke ruangan ICU dengan cepat bapak saya memegang tangan saya dengan erat sambil meneteskan airmata bapak saya berbicara"kamu harus menjadi orang dewasa nak tolong jagain keluarga"saya sangat sedih mendengar hal itu disana saya menghibur bapak saya dengan cerita cerita bapak saya menceritakan pengalamannya saat bekerja di germandan cerita sebagainya akhirnya waktu besuk habis sayang langsung mengelus kepala bapak saya dan mencium kening nya bapak saya tersenyum kepada saya dan saat saya keluar bapak saya melambaikan tangan kepada saya malam nya bapak saya terkena serangan jantung ke 2 disitu saat saya baru bangun tidur akhirnya saat pagi tiba saya berangkat sekolah ternyata jam 5 bapak saya terkena serangan jantung ke 3 dan mengalami masa masa kritis akhirnya saat saya tiba dirumah saya mendapat deringan telefon yang berbunyi"ki bapa sudah meninggal dunia"sekejap saya langsung drop dan saya memberitahu semua temaan saya malam itu juga ayah saya dimandikan dan dikafani saya terkejut ternyata itu ciuman terakhir yang saya beri kepada ayahanda saya innalilahi hari besoknya sangat banyak sekali pelayat yang dateng pada jam 9 tepat nya ayah saya sudah start dari rumah menuju mesjid dan setelah itu langsung menuju ke tempat peristirahatan ayah saya yang terakhir saya ikut di dalam mobil jenazah hingga tiba di tempat pemakaman saya masuk ke liang lahat tetapi saya tidak kuat jadi saya di gantikan oleh om saya saat jenazah dimasukan ke liang lahat saya tidak tahan melihat nya hingga tutupan tanah yang pertama.selamat jalan pak tenang selalu disana,kami selalu mencintaimu dan menyangimu doa akan selalu bersama dirimu pak.ABIKUSNO BIN SOETOJO 11-05-1955_23-11-2012
